Another Brickey in the Wall

I apologize for not writing one in awhile.  Taking two grad classes, a full time job, and keeping it real have been keeping me busy.  I promise to do better in the future.

Tiger Woods

…  Wow…  Here’s my take.  I really think the press conference was a total crap.  It was robotic, poorly read, and came across as insincere.  His own Mother did not buy into it.  Did you see it?  She never smiled.  Wow…  Here is what I would have loved to hear him say.  This is my script for him.

“I love sex with lots of women.  I’m Tiger Woods.  You know what my middle name is?  ‘Freakin’  That’s right.  My whole name is Tiger Freakin’ Woods.  You want to know what my pick up line is?  ‘Hi, I’m Tiger Freakin’ Woods.’  There.  You can try to use it but it won’t work as well.  You know why?  Because I’m Tiger Freakin’ Woods.  I’m the Rick James of pro golf.

I’m not done so sit down, Mom.  The only mistake I made was getting married.  And, I’ll be honest here, Elin beat the bejesus out of me.  I deserve it because I got sloppy.  In all actuality, if she had been better in the sack, I wouldn’t have cheated.  That’s a lie.  I’m Tiger Freakin’ Woods.

In conclusion, this attention would not have happened if I had been a rock star.  Looking back, I now wished my Dad had put me on Mike Douglas for my guitar playing or drumming.  I suppose this is a second mistake.  I ask for your forgiveness for getting married and not playing an instrument.  I’m not going to answer any questions but if any of you ladies wanna meet up after behind that blue curtain, I’m going to be available.”

Basketball

How about the Chants?  What a great year!  The accolades are coming in too.  Someone posted a thread about the measure of the success of our season and how we measure it.  I wrote that the measure of this success would be determined by what the future would look like.  I am standing behind it.  When I read interviews with the players and Coach Ellis, I get the impression that we knew we would be pretty good but they seem to have gone beyond their personal expectations.

This is a fun time to be a basketball fan for Coastal again.  I remember how hot it was in Kimbel that night Keke Hicks sunk the game winning three.  (Was it against CofC?  I don’t remember)  I also remember Mohammad Acha’s billboard on 501, “Comin’ Acha!”  Hopefully, this is the kickoff to a lot of great years.

FYI, bank on this as your top seeds…  Syracuse, Kansas, Kentucky, and Duke (unfortunately)  Dook will be the first #1 out, and Syracuse will face Kansas State in the title game.
